Well it's 2007 already and the Classic
Trawler Network is in full swing. I have been working on
updating the site for the last year and it's prooving to be a bigger job than
first thought. Many little updates have taken place over the last 12 months.
A major area that needs overhualing is the Malahide & Romsdal sections of the site,
this is well underway and the first of these should be ready in the near future.
As in the past I encourage you to get involved and participate in the Network, the site
has been set up to provide information about the Malahide and Romsdal
Trawlers. But without your input and feedback there would be little point
in keeping the site running. Many, many hours have been spent working on the site
to make it something worth while, informative and enjoyable for your viewing pleasure.
As I look at the stats for the site each month I can see that we have a large group of
followers who keep on returning month after month, to those, I thank you, you make my job
worth while. It would be nice to get more feedback, positive or negative, but oh well come
what may, just keep on coming back and if you feel inclinded to send some feedback please do so.
Although not up with the play as much as I would like to be, my desire and quest for more information on these wonderful
trawlers is never far from my thoughts. There is much that has to be done by way of adding to the
information we already have, and I'm aware that much new info has been found, it just needs to be
compiled for use on the site.
Some time back you may recall I talked about going to Tasmania to begin acquiring the skills needed
to follow my dream of becoming a boat builder, thus far that hasn't happened and I have been working
on other projects. The house I started renovation work on is still in progress, but now the time has
come to really get mobile on this renovation stuff and get this thing out of my hair (what's left of it
that is) once and for all. Take my advise don't begin a renovation while you are living in the place and
trying to complete the work that needs doing.
Well here it is the long overdue update to this section of the site, I have had cataracts removed
from both eyes and have had the vision of my younger years returned. One doesn't realise how much
one's eye affect your well being and outlook on things until you have something like this happen.
After having the first eye done I thought my sight wasn't to bad, but little did I realise how bad
things were getting.
Regards
Dennis
